Adair's Birthday

Adair's party was such a blast; everyone involved had an incredible time.  There is no denying that Adair knows how to throw a party.  

Surprise Party

I love love love surprise parties.  I love the phone call that one of the guest gets and the "shh shh shh they're coming" and the reactions, of course.  I LOVE the reactions.  Joel and I went up to Connecticut to help surprise Uncle Blaise and celebrate his birthday and his reaction didn't disappoint!

And ode to a dear friend

One of my greatest friends is celebrating her birthday today.  Although I am not with her giving her hugs every 5 seconds thanking her for being my friend all these years; I am celebrating in my own way.  Kate is one of those friends that you hold onto forever and EVER.  I don't think I could have made it through my years at Marist College if it weren't for Kate.  It's a continuing joke how our friendship even started seeing as we had absolutely NOTHING in common.  We spent a lot of time together though during college: talking for hours on end, her cooking- me eating, going to the movies, Kate singing along to any and every song she knew, heading into the city for concerts, spending time in the library her studying- me staring out the window, and me teasing her about pretty much everything.  I still wonder how and why she put up with me during that time but I am so grateful that she did.  I even got a wonderful and willing model out of her during my photography courses.  

I didn't finish school at Marist College but I will always be grateful for my time there.  It is where I met one of the most wonderful women I will ever know.  9 years later and we still don't have very much in common but a true understanding, respect and love for one another.  I couldn't ask for a better friend than Kate.  Happy  Birthday to my dearest friend!!!!

I love you girl and I can't wait to see you soon.  

Buenos Aires

I love Buenos Aires!  I love walking around and just existing in such an exciting city.  I couldn't stop myself from taking over 1000 photos but here are just some of my favorites.  I know I'll be posting more later on.

Right now I am in Buenos Aires with Joel and my father.  I came here 3 years ago with my dad and I've been wanting to come back ever since.  I'm so excited to be here with my two favorite guys.  

Happy Birthday to Joel

My awesomely amazing husband's birthday is today.  I know this isn't a proper portrait but I just love this new shot of him.  Mix tapes and a Canon AE-1... a man after my heart, for sure.  I love Joel to pieces, except when he tries to use up all my film.  Joel picked up a camera for the first time last summer and within weeks I was in awe of his work.  I could go on AND ON about how much I love Joel, but I'll leave that for another day.  

Happy Birthday Joely!  I hope you have fantastic day... and please forgive me if dinner tonight ends up being Wendy's.

dancing, dancing, dancing...

"she's a dancing machine".

I love to dance- no, more like... I LOVE to dance! If you happen to be my husband or one of my friends you know that I will dance anywhere, anytime. I can be shy sometimes but when it comes to dancing I'm all about it, especially if any Michael or Janet Jackson is involved. My friend Kim, knowing my affinity for moving my feet, asked to see me during my dancing school days. I thought I would share with all of you.

Elijah turns 1

Elijah is so loved.  I wanted to start this blog post with that sentence... so there it is.  He is such a cute, sweet and loving boy no wonder his family and friends go ga-ga over him.  It was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon photographing his 1st birthday.

I can't help but squeal when I see this photo.  That face and that hair... so cute.

Fresh Air

After spending so much time inside the MGM Grand for WPPI we rented a car and headed out to Red Rock Canyon for some much needed fresh air.  

Before we headed back to our hotel I jumped out of the car for a few more shots.  My husband took this one of yours truly.  

Today I am heading out to Vegas to attend WPPI and I am seriously too excited to sleep (it's 2am and I need to be up in a few hours).  I am just really looking forward to learning so much more about this business and to meet other people who share a common passion.  It is going to be an incredible time!  

There will be many blog posts upon my return.  

Nuala's 3rd Birthday

One of the sweetest and coolest little girls turned 3 last week and I was there to capture all the fun and happiness going on.  The party was held at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia.  They did such a wonderful job finding new and interesting projects for all the young guests.

I loved watching the kids make big flowers out of all the colored tissue paper.  Definitely an upgrade from the actual tissues and tin foil I used to make this craft

The balloons were a big hit too!!

The party was such a fun time and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the kids over at the painting section.  Whether they were using their brushes or fingers it was all so creative
