Excitement over Cosi bread

She's back!

I met Jaime about 5 years ago and just knew that she would be amazing in front of the camera.  I asked if I could photograph her and she was totally game.  The photos that emerged from that session were the most fun to develop and print.  Whether she is being Jaime or acting out a character; the same magic exists within her eyes and expressions.  Then Jaime moved and I knew I lost an extraordinary model.  Well the girl is back and upon hearing the news I got crazy excited!!  We went back to that cemetery and I was blown away all over again.  Plus, I had so much fun working with these photos digitally; coming up with a different look for each of them.

Jeff

I am uploading some photos of my youngest nephew and can't get over how much he looks like my brother Jeff.  Then I remembered that I have a recent photo of Jeff and I that Joel took in January.  This blog will soon be filled with photos of my family and I wanted to get one in of Jeff as there are way too few photos of him.  It's hard to remember to take photos of your siblings when you have the cutest niece and nephews imaginable.

Kate and Jason

My dearest friend Kate is pregnant with her first child. I went down, with Joel, to visit Jason and Kate (and her 6 month pregnant belly). I can't wait til her baby shower next month so we can take a lot more pregnancy portraits. Woo hoo!

Two Years Old

Nuala's 2nd Birthday
Winter 2008

I was there as a guest at Nuala's party but I just had to get some shots of the birthday girl.  The following shots revolve mostly around the excitement and consumption of the birthday cupcakes.  They were so so good!!!

Making sure it's 100% juice.

This photo just cracks me up.  I had no idea the face she was making.  But when I uploaded my pictures and saw this photo... I was dying.

Basha and Jesse

Basha and Jesse
Philadelphia
Summer 2007

Here are some more engagement shots from last summer.  Basha and Jesse were married in November but one night last August we all went out for a good 'ol engagement portrait session.

Basha told me about Jesse's smile, so I was there waiting to finally capture it.

One important stop was the corner where they first met and ultimately where Jesse proposed.  I love hearing all stories but how people met is one of my favorites to hear.  And their story is no exception!  But you'll have to ask them yourselves...

purple legwarmers

Beware of the nanny that loves colors and patterns.  I have to admit though that she rocked this outfit like no other.

Her future's so bright....

She's got to wear shades.

Not only do I love being a photographer but I love that I get to nanny this cool chick.  Stay tuned for more kids shots featuring this little Miss.

In the Land of Webkinz

You can't have just 57, right?!

December 2006

I was looking through some of my first portraits taken with my digital camera and came across this photo of my brother and sister in law. It is very difficult to take a bad photo of the two of them (look at them... they're gorgeous!) but this shot is still a favorite.

Are you shooting a Diesel ad?

Kathryn and I became friends from the very moment I moved to Philadelphia. She knew I loved taking photos of people and was always up for being my model. The camera seriously loves Kathryn, as do I. Well it's no surprise that when I heard Kathryn and Dan got engaged I grabbed the two of them for a romp around my neighborhood. Right now they are both in Namibia as volunteer teachers for World Teach. I am so proud of them but can't wait for them to come home.

The next photo is one of my favorites from this shoot. Even though they knew the camera was on them this kiss is so genuine and spontaneous. I had such a wonderful time capturing the closeness that exists between these two. We were also stopped, during this shot, by someone driving who asked if they were going to be in an ad for Diesel Jeans. They were, indeed, both wearing Diesel jeans, but how could someone notice such a detail while driving a vehicle? Anyway, back to the hotness. It must be so tiring to be young and in love while having your photo taken on the streets of downtown Philly.
