Lukas' Birthday

Lukas turned 2 and celebrated with all his friends at Three Bears Park.  It was an afternoon of tiny cars, a racetrack, bubbles, chalk, pizza and cake.  What could be better?

The birthday boy arrives excited and curious.

Kristy and Shawn

The lovely and talented Kimberly Hurst asked me to be her assistant at Kristy and Shawn's wedding.  It was such a sweet and passionate ceremony that I couldn't help but snap a photo.  So much love was shared throughout that day it was hard not to be swept away in it all.  Check out Kim's blog for more images.

Devin is 3

He celebrated by inviting his close friends to a party of pirates, face painting, cake, a scavenger hunt, swimming and more cake.  I went there as a nanny and guest but where I go, my camera follows.

Here is the birthday boy!!

The kids run off with their scavenger hunt clues.  I was in love with the backyard; it was magical.

Isabelle narrowing down the location for the next clue.

I felt like I stepped into a woodsy fairy-tale heaven.  There was even a butterfly bush.

A very calm tiger.

I love his expression here.

The cutest little cheetah makes an appearance.

Devin is such a cool and funny guy.  I can't believe he is only three years old.

Light catcher

She has a way of gazing out the window.

She asked if I wanted to take a photo of her cheek.  What a cutie!

Someone's excited!

As a nanny I have attended many music classes.  I love seeing how all the kids interact with each other and how excited they get when it's time to sing their favorite song.  However, I have never seen a reaction quite like this.

Kate

I received the best call early early this morning.  It was Jason, Kate's husband, calling to let me know that around 1 am they introduced a baby girl into their lives.  I screamed so loud and had to hold myself back from crying (for fear of missing every bit of information).  I am so excited for them and can't wait to go and visit their new daughter (and the two of them, of course).  This little girl has no idea what's in store for her when Auntie Cynthia comes down to Virginia.  Besides bringing cute little baby girl clothes; I will be filling up albums with photographs of just her.

Congratulations Kate and Jason!!!  Words can not describe what I am feeling right now.  I love you both so much and am so happy for you.
