Jeff
I am uploading some photos of my youngest nephew and can't get over how much he looks like my brother Jeff. Then I remembered that I have a recent photo of Jeff and I that Joel took in January. This blog will soon be filled with photos of my family and I wanted to get one in of Jeff as there are way too few photos of him. It's hard to remember to take photos of your siblings when you have the cutest niece and nephews imaginable.

Kate and Jason
My dearest friend Kate is pregnant with her first child. I went down, with Joel, to visit Jason and Kate (and her 6 month pregnant belly). I can't wait til her baby shower next month so we can take a lot more pregnancy portraits. Woo hoo!

Philadelphia
Summer 2007
Here are some more engagement shots from last summer. Basha and Jesse were married in November but one night last August we all went out for a good 'ol engagement portrait session.

Basha told me about Jesse's smile, so I was there waiting to finally capture it.

One important stop was the corner where they first met and ultimately where Jesse proposed. I love hearing all stories but how people met is one of my favorites to hear. And their story is no exception! But you'll have to ask them yourselves...

Are you shooting a Diesel ad?
Kathryn and I became friends from the very moment I moved to Philadelphia. She knew I loved taking photos of people and was always up for being my model. The camera seriously loves Kathryn, as do I. Well it's no surprise that when I heard Kathryn and Dan got engaged I grabbed the two of them for a romp around my neighborhood. Right now they are both in Namibia as volunteer teachers for World Teach. I am so proud of them but can't wait for them to come home.

The next photo is one of my favorites from this shoot. Even though they knew the camera was on them this kiss is so genuine and spontaneous. I had such a wonderful time capturing the closeness that exists between these two. We were also stopped, during this shot, by someone driving who asked if they were going to be in an ad for Diesel Jeans. They were, indeed, both wearing Diesel jeans, but how could someone notice such a detail while driving a vehicle? Anyway, back to the hotness.
It must be so tiring to be young and in love while having your photo taken on the streets of downtown Philly.

more shots from our honeymoon

Looking back at these photos I am reminded of how amazing it felt to be driving cross country for our honeymoon. Joel and I aren't into touristy things but we surprised ourselves with the places we wanted to go to and things we wanted to do. Another thing I realize while looking through this photos is that I didn't put my camera down for a second.
